Language is a fascinating creation. So much of what we say has hidden meanings or innuendos that we don’t pay attention to but that can shape our existence in ways we don’t fully appreciate.
A lot of it is almost a form of sorcery.
We go to school to learn to spell. The verb spell means to write or name letters in a correct sequence to form a word. It can also mean to forecast something bad; for instance, the new government could spell disaster to the economy.
The noun form of spell means using words to invoke a magical charm or incantation. Interesting, yes?
Cast is another fun one. The verb can mean to throw something or to project. You can be cast out of a group, or the moon can cast a pale light on the lake. The noun signifies shaping something, like making a bronze cast of a sculpture or a plaster cast for your broken arm. Then there is a cast of characters in a movie.
You can cast a cast of actors for a play. Or cast doubt on someone. Or forecast what is going to happen.
You can also cast a spell on yourself or someone else.
So, we go to school to learn to spell. We then cast spells on ourselves and others through the power of the word.
Words form the basis of every communication we have. They are inherently magical, and can lift us up or tear us down in a heartbeat.
Great orators use the power of the word to inspire millions, whether in a positive way or an evil one. Hitler was a great speaker. So was Martin Luther King Jr.
The one thing that is the most intimate to us, that is inside of our minds and in every interaction we have with others, is the thing we think about the least.
Don’t take words for granted. Begin to be aware of exactly what you are saying, whether to yourself or someone else, and become clear about the intention behind the words.
When someone says something, and then immediately after that says that they were just kidding, what is the intention there? It is never to enhance someone else’s life, to make them feel good about themselves. It is always a method to impose harm, to hurt intentionally, and then to try to get away with it.
There is no such thing as “just kidding”. Words that are spoken leave their mark on whoever they are directed towards.
Words carry vibrations that leave an imprint in the physical world. We talk things into existence all of the time. It is how we communicate intention to ourselves and to others, and it is how we create anything and everything.
Out of the silence come words that shape every part of your life. Begin to pay close attention to what you are saying both inside your own mind and out loud to others. This is important.
You can change your entire life by changing the quality of your words.
You also have the power to change someone else’s too. Use this power wisely and don’t cause harm when you never meant to do so.
This isn’t an exercise in repeating mindless positive affirmations that you don’t believe. You don’t need to walk around repeating, “I am rich. I am successful. I have lots of money” over and over. These are meaningless words that won’t do anything other than make you realize how untrue they are, thus bringing about more lack into your life.
Instead, tell yourself how gifted you are, how talented in certain areas you are, and how useful your skills are. Begin to create from the mindset that you have something very valuable to share with others. These words are true.
Through the power of words you can be the person you want to be starting right now. And when those motivating words become your beliefs, then what you see in your physical world will change dramatically.
