Assuming Your Identity

Mini was the smallest in the barn, but he also ruled the place. He had the right attitude!

We talk about not judging others, but it isn’t always practical in the real world. When someone walks into a room, within seconds you form a picture of who you think they are.

This is useful on many levels, mostly for safety. If someone comes in your proximity and they could threaten you in some way, it is good to be able to sense this in advance. Sometimes those feelings we get about others can save us some problems, whether they are immediate ones or not.

What are these judgments based on though? What is it about a person that allows us to form opinions about who they are and what they could mean to us without even talking to them?

There is an energetic signature that we all carry that broadcasts both who we are on a general level and more specifically how we are feeling in any moment. We aren’t aware of how powerful this is, but animals and children pick up on it immediately.

The way you carry yourself has a great deal to do with the message you broadcast, but body language isn’t all of it. It is a good thing to focus on though.

To be successful in this world, it is important to believe in yourself. If you don’t have faith in who you are and what you can do, then neither will anyone else. The way you feel about yourself will show in all of your mannerisms.

Loan managers at banks are good at picking up the non-verbal cues that we send out. Having confidence and believing in yourself goes a long way towards getting others to support you and help you along the way.

Actors take these subtle cues and use them to develop a character. Often in movies a character will go through many changes, and you can see the story unfold through the way they carry themselves even more than what the dialogue is.

Actions speak louder than words.

Think of a successful person. In your mind, what does this look like? It will be different than a shy person, or someone who just went bankrupt, or had someone close to them die.

We broadcast exactly what is going on within us at all times. That energetic signature then goes out in the world and attracts what resonates with it.

That is why, when you are feeling down, all kinds of bad things seem to happen. There is the old saying that bad things happen in threes. This doesn’t actually make any sense, but unfortunately it could end up being true if you allow yourself to resonate at a lower vibration for any length of time.

There are different ways you can choose to process anything that happens in life. You can take responsibility for what happens to you, which gives you the strength to change it. Or you can choose to portray yourself as a victim, thus giving away all of your power to outside forces. You then open yourself up to being taken advantage of and attracting more of what you don’t want to you.

There are women who unfortunately do this with men. They leave one abusive relationship and somehow find themselves in another. Intellectually they want something different, but energetically they are attracting more of the same.

When you can identify what your deep-seated beliefs are about who you are and what you deserve in life, then you can begin to understand why certain experiences and situations seem to repeat. If you are feeling unworthy, you will attract experiences that match this opinion.

You will get exactly what you don’t want.

The most natural place to begin to change this is to notice what you are thinking. If your thoughts are negative and belittling, then your body language and energetic vibration will mirror this and attract experiences that are in line with these feelings.

It’s simple really. First you must uncover what your core beliefs are and make sure that they support who you actually would like to be and the type of life you want to have.

There is some truth in faking it until you make it, so put your best foot forward and reach for a feeling that moves you away from what you don’t want and towards what you desire.
