Good yoga teachers assist students to realize the full benefits of a stretch

Those very words – it’s in you to give – are used in commercials in an attempt to get you to donate blood. It’s quite clever and a wonderful way to use a phrase to make us think about how we can help others by giving away something we have inside ourselves.

What else is inside you that you could give away with the intention to help without needing recognition?

When we donate blood, we assume that it will go where it is needed but we never know who receives the gift. Most likely the person who needs it is appreciative that someone took the time to donate something so precious, and the interaction is extremely intimate and yet completely anonymous.

It is a beautiful exchange.

Righteous Indignation

Sometimes the road of life isn’t easy to navigate. Appreciate the beauty of Costa Rica

It’s a sensitive world we live in. Everything we say and do is scrutinized; what was once considered harmless fun is now grounds for lawsuits, dismissal at work, or public scorn.

The advance of social media in the last few years has expedited this process to where things that were once in a small sphere can become worldwide within minutes.

If you offend someone, there is going to be a court of public opinion ready to persecute you to the full extent of opinionated law.

Much of it is exposing long-held prejudices that need to see the light of day. Any belittling of someone based on race, gender, or physical limitations is a mistake. It is wrong.

The Ultimate Like

Strength, confidence and self-assurance – these are the pictures I like of me

Judging by the number of books that are coming on the market, the effects of social media on a person’s well-being has become a huge issue.

Basically, people are selling their souls for likes.

It becomes addictive. When you see people engaging with content you created, and liking that content, the desire to have more of that approval becomes the result itself. The content is no longer important, it is trying to figure out what people are going to “like”.

Unfortunately, for young women this is turning into showing more of their bodies as they look for approval.

Where these platforms are great tools for educating, inspiring, and motivating others, they are turning into sites where egos are built up and then torn down. The situation is getting out of hand.
