Is it better to have false hope rather than no hope at all?
This is something that a lot of people are struggling with right now. We want the truth, but then there is the real danger that we can’t handle the truth. It’s a dilemma.
We all want someone to say that within a few weeks, things will be back to normal. Then if they aren’t, we want a new promise that within a few weeks, things will be back to normal. And on it goes.
The truth, as I know it today, is that sometimes things can never go back to the way they were. That’s actually how things have always been, but right now it just appears more obvious and that is frightening. We reach for security and it isn’t there. Like a terrified horse who runs back into a burning barn looking blindly for safety, we reach for anything that promises a return to what we once knew.
But it isn’t there. Be extra-vigilant right now about those who say they know how the world is going to look six months, or a year, or two years from now. They don’t know. No one does.
Don’t allow feelings of vulnerability to cloud your judgment. Watch out for those who will try to take advantage of your fear. They are more frightened than you, and they are acting recklessly. Use your inner guidance to steer the way and trust that common sense is a valuable commodity right now.
Are things going to be okay? That depends on what your expectations are. Will they be the same as they were? No, not likely. Will they be better, or worse?
That all depends on your point of view.
